In August, North Side High School head Golf coach Jesus Sanchez-Ontiveros Jr. (Coach Sanchez) was placed on leave from North Side High School in the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD). Coach Sanchez was also on the football coaching staff. On October 13, FWISD school board voted to terminate Sanchez-Ontiveros Jr.. His teaching certificate shows that he is under investigation by the TEA Educator Investigations Division.
There are allegations that Coach Sanchez was engaging in grooming of female students and misappropriation of school-related funds and use of said funds to purchase bribery gifts for those students. I was contacted by a concerned parent about Sanchez who tells me that the school has not sent any communication about his leave and termination. I’m also told that Sanchez was referred to a Curriculum and Instruction Masters program in which he continues even after his termination.
A concerned parent addressed the FWISD school board about Coach Sanchez at the October 13th meeting.
