Hope Fellowship Church, a multi campus non-denominational church based in Frisco, Texas, has announced that their lead pastor John McKinzie has resigned. In a letter sent to members, the elders announced that on September 14, 2025, pastor John McKinzie had confessed to “sexual sin and moral failure” in a meeting with church elders. The elders accepted McKinzie’s resignation.
This is the same church that in January of 2025 terminated youth pastor Jerry Nickerson after he confessed to child sexual abuse.
